The City of Remsen is currently accepting applications for a full time police officer. Applications can be obtained at City Hall or at www.remseniowa.org. Application deadline is December 16, 2019.
A chamber coffee honoring Rick Nitzschke will be held Tuesday, January 8 , 2019 from 8:30 AM-10:30 AM at the EMT Building. Come thank Rick for his 42 years of service!
There are four sets of discs available to use at “The Lions Nine” Disc Golf Course in town. At this time there is no rental charge although a $50 cash deposit is required to check out each set. You can download the policies/waiver form needed for rental here: Disc Golf Policy and Waiver
The City of Remsen will have a scheduled ISOLATED power outage Wednesday, April 27, 2016 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing until possibly 6:00 p.m. to make necessary repairs to the electrical system. The outage will be from First Street to Highway 3; affecting the East side of Jackson Street to the West side of Fulton Street. Those customers that the outage will affect have been notified or have had their doors posted. Remsen City Hall and the Public Library, as well as several other downtown businesses, will be closed as a result of the outage. The City of Remsen apologizes for the inconvenience and short notice!
