Why the change?!

💧 So… why the change in Remsen? The previous system served the community well, but rising water quality standards and aging infrastructure called for a modern solution. ✅

A key concern was the common-walled tank, where dirty backwash water, used to clean sand filters of accumulated debris and oxidized metals, was separated from drinking water by just a single concrete partition. Combined with nitrate issues from shallow alluvial wells, it was time for an upgrade.

Now, Reverse Osmosis (RO) delivers higher purity and long-term reliability for Remsen residents.
